Saias Liberdade

Saias Liberdade has collaborated with Bristol Capoeira and has performed at their Capoeira festival.

Samba (de Roda) is a big part of capoeira culture. Saias Liberdade is a part of the South West Capoeira community.

The Saias perform at festivals and outdoor events. In 2017 we performed at Bristol Harbour Festival and led the crowd in a group dance.

Krik Krak Festival

In 2017 we hosted Haitian artist Peniel Guerrier.

We offered 3 days of Haitian drumming and dance workshops at Trinity Centre Bristol






We were able to share what we learned at the Arnolfini and local artist were invited to contribute their work.
